Classical music will be presented by the Chadron State College music department during its woodwind chamber music recital Wednesday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Chicoine Atrium of the Sandoz Center. The concert is open to the public free of charge. Three ensembles and five soloists will present music by classical composers, including Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Vivaldi, Moussorgsky, Milhaud, Schumann and Lutoslawski.

“I am very excited about this opportunity to showcase the efforts of our woodwind performers,” said Michael Stephens, CSC music faculty member who will perform with the flute trio and clarinet quartet. “They are a talented group of students, and it has been a pleasure to work with them in preparation for this event.”

Students in the performance are Giselle Andersen, Fairbury; Stephanie Aulston, Julesburg, Colo.; Paige Bosch, Wheatland, Wyo.; Elicia Deakin, Broken Bow; Laura Empson, Chadron; Andrew Meyers, Minden; Amanda Morris, Lincoln; Sergio Reyes, Boys Town; Katie Ringleman, Imperial; and Adam Vancil, Scottsbluff.

Aulston, Meyers, Morris, Ringleman and Vancil each plan to perform solos. CSC music faculty member Jim Margetts will accompany the groups on piano.
